The ApDRA Competition is in the books.  Weather conditions were not ideal, but could always have been worse.  Saturday was mostly dry, with just an occasional sprinkle.   Competitors (riders and drivers) were routed on a different part of the Southern Kettle Moraine Trail.  The section on which we were routed was referred to as “the racetrack.”  It was much straighter, wider, and less sandy than the other section, so it was great for carts and wagons.

Sunday started out fairly nice, with just a few sprinkles.  But by the time we got to the 9 mile mark, it was pouring rain.  Between the fog and the raindrops on my glasses, it was a challenge to see the trail.  Water was running like a river down our cart tracks.  Lil Kay does not like to get her feet wet, so she was stomping most of the way home.   But, at least it was a warm rain.

Ray and I both managed to forget our cameras.  Photos are courtesy of MAD Photography, who was there for the weekend.
