Somehow I managed to leave my camera home.  Ruth took some pictures, so hopefully she will send them.

Overall, it was a pretty good event, other than the rain every day, with occasional heavy downpours.  There were more puddles on that trail than I have ever seen.  Lil Kay is not a fan of puddles, and tries to skirt around them, or jump over them.  By the end of the event, she was walking through most of them, and even let me trot her through a few.  On Sunday when we were out, there was a group of hunters standing around a fairly big puddle.  There was one hunter on the right side, and two on the left.  I said “good morning” then suggested that they back up, because my horse usually jumps puddles; she might clear the puddle but the cart won’t and there will be a big splash.   They waved me through, and sure enough, Kay jumped, but she didn’t clear it, and neither did the cart, so they got splashed a bit.  One of them asked me what I was doing out there, and I said “It was a nice day for Sunday drive.”
